Overview
The ancient chinease have alot of myths some say they are myths but others say they could be true. One myth is about this Giant that created the universe and it took him 18,000 years to create! Another myth is about Yu the Great who controlled the Yellow river, also known as the Haung He river, he controlled the fludding to produce irrigation and food control. Their was also a Goddess of Silk her name was Si Lingi, she was said to invent silk, which was a main trading item in ancient china.The Chinnease are also well known for all of their Dynasties. The Shang dynasty is the first historical dynasty, their greatest king was a man named of Wu Ding he had a wife , Fu Hao, who was a great Shang General and helped the Dynasty get more powerful. Another Dynasty was the Zhou Dynasty it is said that it was the longest dynasty in Chinese history running from 1122 BC to 256 BC. This dynasty made such things as the Mandate of Heaven it states that people can overthrow corrupt and evil rulers. The Great wall is a Great Chinese Symbol. It was used to protect China from invasions from the Huns and Mongols, it is said it is "The Wall of 10 thousand Li". It was originally 4470 miles originally, but only 2600 miles today and 25 feet high. It sites on tops of the mountains, they used this strategy so that the Huns and Mongols couldnt get over the wall that easy. Another Chinese Symbol is the Dragon, it started being a symbol in the Zhou Dynasty and symbolises the Chinese rulers. Important People
Confucius (Koonguzi): Had made sayings and teaching that became very important to Chinese culture and history. They still even practice his teachings to this very day.
Laozi: Contemporary of Confucius supposedly he set up Daoism which states how people should act, It was very popular in ancient times.
Qin Shihuangdi: First Quin Emperor, at the age of 13 he defeated the last of Quin's rivals and founded a new dynasty, he unified the Chinese world.
Liu Bang: A peasant who ended up creating one of the greatest and most long blasting dynasty in Chinese history, he discarded most policies of the Qin dynasty and used Confucian principles.
Han Wudi: Added lots of land to southern china, so the empire could get larger, because of him china experienced another 150 years of peace.

Mandate of Heaven: Claim by Chinese kings of the Zhou dynasty that they had direct authority from heaven to rule and keep order in the universe.
Legalism: Proposed that all human beings are evil by nature. Just like the religions that people practice today and what they call sin.
Censorate: Part of the Chinese bureaucracy that made sure government officials did their jobs. So that none of them would try to get more power then they already had.
Daoism: A system of ideas based on the teachings of Laozi, teachings that the will of heaven is best followed through inaction so that nature is allowed to take its course.

4000 BC- Chinese Civilization Starts. 2650 BC- Empress Si Lingi was said to have made silk for the first time, she was known as the “Goddess of Silk.” 1750-1122 BC- Shang Dynasty starts it is the first historical dynasty and conquered 1800 city-states. 551-478 BC- Confucius was living during this time and had ideas which lead to Confucianism. 512 BC- “The Art of War” was wrote by Sun-tzu. It tells of different strategies of war and is still read today by a lot of different generals. 221-207 BC- The Qia Dynasty is how China became well China. China had their first Emperor during this Dynasty. 202BC-220AD- Han Dynasty, Led a revolt against the Chin Dynasty. “Sons of Han” was the nickname for the Han Army. 140 BC- Han Wudi was known as the “Warrior Emperor” and was the most famous Han Emperor and conquered Korea, Manchuria, and Vietnam. 220-589 AD- The time of the Six Dynasties is when China was in Civil Wars and when the Huns were invading. 400 AD- Buddhism becomes a religion with the leader, Buddha, was seen as a God.
